Of course, the best part about using this brush technique is that it's easily done at home, and as a matter of fact, I find a brush to be a great way to apply facial treatments that you've made yourself. It saves your hands from getting drippy and gooey, and honestly, I have to admit, it feels fantastic (and very spa-like!) to have a mask brushed onto your clean, bare face, even if you have to do it yourself!

A brush can also be a great way to apply some of the pure oil facials that I mentioned in previous posts, like the Sweet Almond Oil Facial or the Olive Oil Facial.
A few important suggestions for using a brush:
1. Brush gently- there is no need to be heavy handed!
2. Clean your brushes after each use.
3. Brush in sweeping, circular motions.
5. Brush thin layers on, don't use too much mask for your brush, or your soon lose the feeling of the bristles!
I recommend getting a high-quality brush, if you decide to purchase one. You are going to be using it on a most important canvas, after all! These can run you anywhere between $5-$15 a brush, and there's no need to spend more than that. Also keep in mind that because you are brushing this on your skin, cleaning the brush carefully after each use is very important, so that you don't have a brush full of bacteria!
